Take a lot of this

I sew for you a pocket

Take a lock of this

I have a galaxy before me I cannot reach

The sky forms a solid dusky beach

The moon an unseen curve of peach

I understood and knew it was all too much to undo

Whatever wrong I’d done you could not say

you only felt or knew

yet somehow saw not the same nor cause in you.

And I was in fact my own island

and resigned to it then

and my only task now

was to make it a contented place

where I could finally find that

sacred angel again

I once heard and knew

at the beginning of this journey.

Make no mistake:

I expected a knight besides;

but instead got a night in rides,

which hijacked my light inside

and blocked my eye to her choir.

Now I need to remember

how in all the fire;

how to

re-find her.

And I know I am useless to you

until then.

I only ask that you place your mat towards

touch the earth beneath

and whisper

Ah, wo-

        1. Hahaha so fun to imagine you blushing. πŸ˜†πŸ’› yes I really did have a wonderful day, I blocked myself from WP for most of it and got a massive ton of things done which makes me feel so much better and more cheerful lol. (Was a bit moody last night when I wrote this. ;)) Thank you for asking. Hope your day was also good? :)) πŸ™πŸ™πŸŒ» xoxoxo

          1. Hahahaha, I’m a easy blusher tbh πŸ˜‚πŸ˜³ and great, lia. Glad you had a wonderful day and you had some time to do your things you had to do! I too had a lovely day today, got some writing done, had my motorcycle lessons and rest of the day i had a well deserved me-time ☺️☺️ xoxo

            1. Omg!! Motorcycle lessons, how cool. I might take those when all the kids are grown lol. ;)) 😁 Have you read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance btw? I have to admit I started it many years ago but didn’t finish it yet. Either way happy riding, and happy writing dear friend. πŸβœοΈπŸ’«βœ¨

              1. I KNOW, IT’S SO AMAZING!!! You would totally love it. The freedom you start having once you sit down on a motorcycle. It’s amazing 😍

                And no i have not read it. I will check it out though. Sounds like something i should read, and maybe do finish it πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ thanks, lia. Have a lovely week and share us your thoughts on a piece of paper ❀️

  3. Your poem is magnificent, Lia! I loveΠ² Π΄Π΄ the Biblical allusions, and the verse “I have a galaxy before me I cannot reach” has profoundly resonated with my soul. The ending is outstanding – your imaginative “Ah, wo-men” sounds much better than “Amen”!

    1. Veronica… thank you. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ™ Honestly that means so much to me coming from you. You are such a perceptive reader and a brilliant creator. I feel perfectly understood by the way you read it, and that means the world. It’s a very uplifting comment. Thank you!! πŸ’›πŸŒŠπŸ˜šπŸ‘―β€β™‚οΈπŸ’ž
