Replenishment

Thanks for all the light you gave;

away it some of darkness staved

And when the darkness I did crave

you gave me that as well.

Down from well I greet you now;

skylight covered in cheerful bough

An evergreen of laurel drawn

for luck; and fare thee well.

Glean from rivers far below;

a stream with sun-smoke glittering row

Hear a bucket now a bell

alive with emptiness

ringing.
