C-Am-Em-G

Every heart could be a loving hearth

Every chord you played, the strings were art

You gently pick the melody
of my then-favourite song

You are a strength to which I gladly belong

You are the home of my house

You are the steady of my roam

I feel I’m far too lucky

that in name we each other own.

I feel glad in any case

that I get to listen to you

from another room.

    1. Awww! πŸ˜ƒ Thanks so very much, for this kind encouragement. It was just a quick riff, but deeply meant. πŸ₯°πŸ™

  1. “You are the home of my house. You are the steady of my roam.” I love that. I find such distance at times between me and those I love. But there is also a steadiness, perhaps best expressed just the way you have: “You are the home of my house. You are the steady of my roam.”

    1. We are all roamers of words here, I guess, and we can probably all relate to what you’ve said. There are always beautiful moments to be recognized and celebrated, aren’t there, and the more we can generate the better for everyone, maybe, or hopefully. :))

    1. Right??? Thanks George. :)) A relative sent me this song a couple of years ago and just… wow. Alela Diane is amazing!!! And this song is so wonderful. I used to play it a lot.
